About Solution Focused Hypnotherapy

Solution Focused Hypnotherapy is a modern psychotherapeutic approach, underpinned by neuroscience research. It combines the use of psychotherapy, NLP & CBT with hypnosis. It is a goal-oriented, evidence-based therapy that helps a person to reconnect with their inner resources, empowering them to find the solution to their issue/s. 

The therapy uses practical, structured and well-researched strategies to help clients make significant, positive changes in their life in a relatively short period of time.

What will the sessions focus on?

The sessions focus on what a client would like to achieve rather than on the problem(s) that prompted them to seek change. This means there is no ‘delving’ into past events that can sometimes be upsetting. Instead the focus is on examining and building on the positives in a person’s life and on the strengths they do have. This is followed by trance, a very natural, relaxing state, where the mind can relax and focus on suggestions and thoughts that might be useful.

The free Initial Consultation is an opportunity to thoroughly discuss what you would like to get out of the sessions and how Solution Focused Hypnotherapy can help. It is also an opportunity to ask questions and feel fully informed.

I will also provide you with a relaxation recording for you to listen to, for  use in between your sessions, this helps promote relaxation and reinforce the benefits of hypnotherapy.

A typical session is made up of a blend of psychotherapy, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Neuro Linguistic Programming (NLP) and hypnosis appropriate to your condition.
